Night And Snow
My teacher at the lovely Atelier d'Orbo in Paris gave us various themes for the year and one of them was just "the brightness and intensity of colours". I tried various things which did not work then one night I just dreamed this picture. A strange boy with flaming hair, barefeet in the snow, a log cabin in the middle of the woods, light streaming out of the door and windows, and the boy and the bird watching each other warily. And lots of snow and the surrounding night. And the boy doing magic as weird lights lit up around him and leaves began to swirl around him. I loved the dream! Here's what I remembered of it!

That's cool what you wrote in the description for this piece. I like the result! I think the composition is especially strong, the eye just keeps moving around the piece, not easily bored with any area. And I like the guy's hair! :)

Thank you so much for this lovely comment! I'm glad of it because apart form the colours (and the guy's hair :D) you saw just what I wanted to stress in the pic - the movement, I wanted to make the viewer want to look at all the different parts, and move around the picture. So thx!! :rose:

I love the way you use colours a lot! The grey background and the vivid orange and green match so well!

Thanks! This was actually work we had to do for my art class and the subject was to show the intensity and vividness of colours. It was cool as we could use as many bright colours as we wanted to!! :)
